The Band has received a formal invitation to take part in the US Open Contest, which is the major entertainment contest held annually in USA. The band is particularly honoured as traditionally such invitations are generally only sent to the winning bands of the prestigious annual Brass in Concert competition held in Gateshead. more details here ........
Avonbank Brass Band is based in the beautiful and historic town of Evesham on the banks of the River Avon. Evesham is the 'capital' of the fertile Vale of Evesham, lying between the Malvern and Bredon Hills and the Cotswolds.
We are a very friendly and welcoming band and attract players from a wide area.
Our senior band has recently won promotion into the Second Section. We rehearse on Monday and Friday evenings between 7:30 and 9:30pm in our own premises - The Mick Sharp Memorial Bandroom.
The Bandroom is soundproofed, has a kitchen and toilet facilities and has ample free parking.
Our Training Band ( so named because it welcomes players of all ages and abilities ) rehearses on a wednesday night from 7pm onwards.
